675 Cole Street was a sadly forgotten 1960’s developer “box” of a building sitting in a colorful neighborhood of wonderful Edwardian and Italianate Victorian context near the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. Neglected for many years, it had fallen into disrepair with deferred maintenance as well as need of a serious facelift.

The new owners wanted to bring it more into line with its historic context, and give it a traditional San Franciscan feel. We designed a window replacement and facade alteration package that required no planning approvals and was able to be permitted over-the-counter. The substantially altered character of the building gave it a lovely Edwardian tone, adding to our expertise in developing historically sensitive building refit projects.
